It’s June! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and at long last we’re enjoying the Boston days we’ve been dreaming about all winter—afternoons on the water, dinners overlooking the harbor, and warm evenings strolling through the Common.
At FCK, the arrival of summer isn’t the only thing we’re celebrating.

In the City of Champions, we proudly welcome people from all backgrounds, identities, and walks of life. At FCK, we believe everyone deserves equal rights, equal opportunities, and equally great food. That’s why we’re honored to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community this June and all year long.
Throughout our blog, we often shine a spotlight on our neighbors in the hospitality industry. But in honor of Pride Month, we’re expanding that spotlight to recognize some of the incredible organizations working every day to support, empower, and advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals throughout Greater Boston.
💙 Greater Boston PFLAG 💙
The Greater Boston Chapter of Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) works to advance equity and affirmation for LGBTQ+ people by building stronger families, safer communities, and a more inclusive society.
Through monthly support meetings, parent-to-parent mentorship, GSA assistance, educational programming, and community outreach, Greater Boston PFLAG helps create a world where LGBTQ+ individuals can live openly, safely, and authentically.
💚 Boston GLASS 💚
GLBTQ+ Adolescent Social Services (GLASS) is a welcoming and culturally affirming program serving LGBTQ+ youth of color and their allies, ages 13–29, throughout Greater Boston.
Based in Jamaica Plain, GLASS provides a comprehensive continuum of care, including:
- Mental health counseling
- Clinical case management
- Peer support services
- Leadership development opportunities
- Workshops and social events
- Access to essentials such as food, clothing, toiletries, internet access, and more
Their work creates a safe and supportive environment where young people can build community, develop leadership skills, and access critical resources.

We couldn’t celebrate Pride Month without recognizing two organizations that FCK has proudly partnered with for the past three years: BAGLY and Trans Resistance MA.
🏳️🌈 BAGLY 🏳️🌈
For nearly 50 years, the Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth (BAGLY) has been a youth-led, adult-supported organization dedicated to social justice and the well-being of LGBTQ+ youth across Massachusetts.
BAGLY’s work centers around three core pillars:
Health & Wellness
Stabilization & Success
Youth Leadership & Advocacy
Since 1980, BAGLY has supported more than 200,000 LGBTQ+ young people through programs, services, advocacy, and community-building initiatives.
We’re especially proud to have catered BAGLY’s Heels for Hope event this month, helping support a record-breaking fundraising effort that raised $110,000 for LGBTQ+ youth.
✊ Trans Resistance MA ✊
Founded in June 2020 by a collective of trans and queer activists in the Boston area, Trans Resistance MA was created to provide support specifically for the transgender community.
Since its founding, the organization has expanded its reach through partnerships with numerous community groups, supporting Trans, Queer, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color throughout Boston and beyond.
Their work includes:
The annual Trans Resistance March & Festival
Transgender Day of Visibility events
Transgender Day of Remembrance vigils
Year-round community organizing and mutual support efforts
Their advocacy continues to create meaningful change and foster stronger, more connected communities.

Every June, we’re proud to celebrate Pride Month—but we’re even prouder to celebrate the organizations and individuals who work tirelessly to make Boston a city where everyone can be who they are and love who they love.
