This is classic bolognese sauce with penne pasta. This isn't marinara with some ground beef sautéed and tossed in. We brown the ground beef and sirloin to develop a great flavor in the pan, then deglaze the pan with a little red wine. The red wine is reduced to concentrate the flavor and then just enough tomato is added to let it simmer down and make a delicious gravy.
Choice of Caesar, Farmer's Market or Monterrey Chopped salad.
Add our house made meatballs and sweet Italian sausage to the meal to make sure everyone one gets plenty to eat.
